Today starts the celebration of DSP week which is occurring nationwide between September 11th through September 17th. It is a time to reflect on how essential all of our Direct Support Professionals are and how much we count on each and every one of you. As part of our commitment to supporting our DSP’s, each one of you will receive a free membership to the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (https://www.nadsp.org/) in order to provide you with resources to increase your skills and position yourself for growth opportunities.
On behalf of myself, the Board of Directors and the entire Management Team, I would like to say thank you to all of our staff for your tireless efforts to provide skilled and compassionate supports. Your dedication and commitment is essential to the success of the CRVI’s New Directions… New Lives initiative and the people we support. The quality of CRVI is defined at the point of interaction between the people we support and our DSP’s.
We are proud of your ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality of life to the people we support. To acknowledge our appreciation for Direct Support Professionals, Full Time DSP’s will be receiving a $100 bonus net of taxes, Part Time and Relief DSP’s will be receiving a $50 bonus net of taxes. I have also sent each DSP a personal thank you letter.
The bonuses will be processed for active employees in a separate payroll during this week. Employees that utilize direct deposit will receive their bonus electronically and those that receive paychecks will receive a separate check for the bonus. Each bonus will be gross up to include Social Security and Medicare taxes. Eligible employees who are on leave will receive their bonus upon their return to work.
