Nursing Supervision

CRVI provides a Registered Nurse/resident ratio that ensures the individualized quality of care and safety of participants in its residential programs. The agency’s skilled nursing department is comprised of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses who are responsible professionals and devoted care givers. Residents requiring immediate nursing care, those with chronic need or individuals experiencing a common illness, benefit from a well-planned triage nursing system in collaboration with residential staff.

The nursing department provides unlicensed direct care staff with initial and on-going training in tasks commonly identified as nursing procedures, such as, medication administration, diabetes management or medical equipment needs. High standards and continued supervision of in-home health services support the quality of life in CRVI residences.

The nurses observe, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. They provide weekly over-site to their assigned residences to maintain compliance with state mandated medical standards. And, they work closely with the community based healthcare providers of the people served by the agency to achieve the best care possible.
